Julie Nolan is a jewelry designer/maker who lives in Pelham, MA. A California native, Julie began making jewelry at the tender age of 6. Her passion for the art has been a constant in her life. In 2008, after a 9 month comprehensive course at Studio Jewelers (New York's only jewelry trade school), Julie Nolan Jewelry was born.
Julie takes inspiration as it comes; from natural forms in her garden, the manmade curves of Gaudi, the lines of a Leonora Carrington drawing. When creating her work, Julie employs a variety of techniques. Some pieces are carved from wax, some are made using the ancient metalworking technique of hand forging. She hand fabricates, sets stones, polishes, finishes and designs each piece in her studio.
